Theater as an institution in the era of the spectacle, when "image" dominates, needs to be restored. Nowadays the concept of actor is overshadowed by the concept of "star". Introducing the theatrical education into university improves the theatrical life of our country, and establishes meritocracy, thus mitigating phenomena of temporary excitement, intellectual fashion, xenolatria or xenophobia.
Creating an independent building reinforces the theatrical education. A comfortable space improves the process of education and enriches the curriculum with related activities. In addition, the facilities would provide the campus with public entertainment spaces and would also tighten the relation between the Society and the University.
The building is required to solve the classic problems of the academic spaces such as standardization, connection with contiguous blocks of buildings, re-use of spaces, etc.
The communication with other blocks, the accessibility of pedestrians and vehicles and the extraordinary view were taken into account for the selection of the site. The inclined ground facilitates the creation of underground spaces, which minimize the interference in the existing forest.
This solution harmonizes with the natural environment. Its a non-enclosed atrium, facing the view, which gathers the public. Basic targets were the readability and the flexibility of spaces.
