Stamatios Giannikis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1979. He studied architecture at ENSAPLV in Paris, at the School of Architecture at the AUTH (Arch. Engineer Diploma 2003) and at Harvard GSD (M Arch II 2006) as a Fulbright Scholar. He has studied governance at Harvard KSG (PAL 101b, spring 2006) and music and piano at NCTH (1984-1996). He has worked as an architect for OMA, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 2005, DMJM&HN, Los Angeles, USA, 2006-2007 and Dr D (Dagmar Richter), Los Angeles, USA, 2007 in large scale architecture and urban design commissions as well as in international architecture competitions. Since 2004 he is also practicing as an independent architect in private residences and interior projects. He has completed a series of interviews under the subject FAME&ARCHITECTURE by Rem Koolhaas, Beatriz Colomina, Alejandro Zaera Polo, Bjarke Ingels (unpublished). Since September 2009 he has been teaching as adjunct lecturer at the School of Architecture of the University of Thessaly and at the School of Architecture of the University of Patras.
