Beijing Design Week

The exhibitions focus primarily on the new developments of contemporary Chinese design, in such fields as product design, however there are also references to other countries as well as a special exhibition related with the presentation of new technological advances from around the world and their potential application within the country's context.

The lectures, with guests from around the world, undertake issues such as the preservation of natural resources and cultural heritage, sustainability and culture. Designers, theorists as well as journalists present and analyze case studies, which do not solely concentrate on Chinese reality, but include efforts from other countries such as the creation of a bicycle network in Copenhagen and Vancouver's green plans.
