Gernot Minke: Green Roofs, Green Walls, Vertical Gardens
Lecture by Professor Gernot Minke on eco-building design. (5 April 2012)
In collaboration with "Anelixi" will be held on 05.04.2012 the lecture of Gernot Minke titled "Green Roofs, Green Walls, Vertical Gardens" in the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki. From 05.04 to 07.04 will also be held in the premises of the Goethe-Institut a workshop that will be aimed primarily at students of architecture.
Professor Gernot Minke was born in 1937 and studied architecture in Hanover and Berlin. From 1964 to 1968 he was assistant of professor Frei Otto at the Institute of horizontal structures of the University of Stuttgart.
From 1974 until today he is a professor at the University of Kassel in Germany and has worked since 1979 as an architect specializing in ecological building design.
As a guest, he has taught at several universities around the world and has participated as a speaker at over 59 conferences. He has designed over 60 buildings with green standards in Germany, Hungary, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and India.
The lecture will be given in German with a Greek translation and the entrance is free.
