New American Architecture
New architecture and urban planning exhibition at Contemporary Space Athens (until April 25, 2010)
The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, together with The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design have organized an important exhibition of the latest architecture from The United States.
New American Architecture is hosted at Contemporary Space Athens until April 25, 2010.
Featured in the exhibition are the latest new American designs for skyscrapers, corporate headquarters, offices, museums and cultural spaces, civic and governmental buildings, religious structures, commercial and retail spaces, multi-family housing, private residences, schools and universities, landscape designs, and urban planning projects by the most prestigious American design firms practicing today.
The selected works in New American Architecture arrive from The Chicago Athenaeum's American Architecture Awards for 2009 and were awarded by a jury of German architecture practitioners in fall 2009.
The exhibition is curated by Christian K. Narkiewicz-Laine, Museum President/CEO, The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
A full list of featured works in the exhibition can be found at the Museum's website at www.chi-athenaeum.org.
