Workshop, WILL ALSOP

Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) Network was founded in 1988 as a private institution of higher education. Today it is a cutting-edge university, one which employs state-of-the-art technology while at the same time remaining grounded in Arab culture and the traditions of the Middle East.

Announced that there will be an architectural workshop by the renowned architect Will Alsop to be held at the university itself (AUST), UAE, during the period of September 20-24, 2011.

There will also be an exhibition and public lecture by Mr. Alsop in the Dept. of Architectural Engineering at AUST.

Will Alsop
Will (William) Allen Alsop, (born 12 December 1947) is a British architect based in London. He is responsible for several distinctive and controversial modernist buildings, most in the United Kingdom. Alsop's buildings are usually distinguished by their use of bright colour and unusual forms. While Alsop has won praise from some critics and fans of avant-garde architecture, he has also faced criticism from fellow architects and some segments of the general public.
