In the spirit of investigation of settlements that are found in limits of natural protection and because of our interest for the relation of humid element with the structured space, we select to deal with the settlement of PortoLagos. Concretely, Porto Lagos is a narrow area that links the lake Vistonida with Thrakiko sea and today is found under situation of desolation and abandonment. Our aim was to import a total of elements that can help the settlement revitalized and be revived attracting new residents.
Initial objective is we organise the existing settlement so much that it does not offend his identity. Thus in general lines we organise the road network, the industrial area, the archaeological spaces and propose extents of biological cultures. We face as separate part the coastal area because the concentration of poles of growth and we organise the harbour as well the fishery constitutes the main source of income in the settlement.
Besides, we import new elements in the frames of ecological tourism and effort of aid of research of Lake Vistonida. Concretely, we propose an organized network of observatories and a group of ephemeral residences for researchers who they could be teams from the university of Xanthi.
Finally, we propose a hypothetical masterplan of extension of settlement in the future. We hope that with our proposal plans are revised for the future of settlement and the total of our intentions brings a new fresh confrontment for the area of the Lake.
