Architect (N.T.U.A.) and Urbanist (Harvard MCPUD). Professor of architectural and urban design at the department of Architecture of the Technical University of Crete.
.He has designed a variety of projects of the public and private sector and was awarded over 30 prizes and distinctions in national or international competitions. His built projects include housing ,office buildings, restoration and extension of historic structures, athletic installations ,open spaces etc. His work has been presented én several architectural exhibitions.

Initiator and president of the organising commitee of the congresses for the new Charter of Athens. Member of the first 4 member international editorial committee.
He was appointed vice mayor of Athens (1991-94) and vice president of the Organisation for the Unification of the Archaeological spaces of Athens (1995-97)
